1. 16" drum...

   Haven't done much sanding with it but seems to work well. Nice to have quick-raising lever as well as micro-adjust. Only flaw I have encountered is that the mounting plate for the frame of the drum is quite thin, so when switching off the main motor, as the spin slows down, there is a stage where the whole drum shakes. I checked that the 4 mounting bolts are tight, but they only screw into the mounting plate which is aluminum, and only about 5/16" thick, so you can't make them too tight. However I did get to put a nut on the ends of the mounting bolts, so more secure, but still some vibration after switch-off. There is also movement/flex on the outboard end of the drum if the drum is initially too low and the plank you slide in hits the hold-down roller a little firmly, so will have to careful of that. Otherwise, quite happy, and when doing thinner, wider planks, the dust extraction is excellent.

   Very happy with the drum sander. I use it for guitar making which is a great time saver to bring top, back and side to thickness. It needed a tiny adjustment in order to have the conveyor paralleled to the drum (it was already good, but a bit outside acceptable tolerance for guitar making). But after a few adjustments, I can now sand at +/- 0.005 in. across the the whole width of the drum. Also, since I only use it for very light sanding with 180 grit, I used my shop vacuum ( about 130 CFM ) for dust collection and it does the job. So if you're considering a drum sander for same type of work, no need to have a "real" dust collector.
   And also got great service with shipping.
