The Robert Sorby ProEdge Deluxe does an great job of sharpening all my lathe tools. It is so much better then a grinder and the tools last much longer when sharpened with it.

The machine runs much quieter than a Bench grinder and is easily set to sharpening angles, with good tool support from the tool platform. The Fingernail jig has given repeatable grinds on bowl gouges, without to much practice. It did however take some time to find the Belt position to sharpen Skew chisels from the Leftside of the Skew jig. This was due in part to the toolhandle contacting the motor casting for the Fingernail boss bar and the Junction box for the ON/OFF switch and phase shift capacitor. If the Junction box was moved one inch or so to the Left, it would make Skew chisel sharpening a little easier. In general very pleased with the machines build and operation.
