The BESSEY EBH201-120 Induction Bearing Heater provides a safe and efficient method for heating bearings prior to installation. Magnetic induction heats the bearing evenly and quickly, allowing it to expand so it can be installed onto a shaft with reduced risk of damage associated with improper installation methods.
Designed for bearings weighing up to 110 lb, the EBH201-120 operates on a 120V, 13A power supply and features a simple on/off control for straightforward operation. Bearings can be heated in either a vertical or horizontal position, with BESSEY noting that horizontal positioning generally provides heating times three to four times faster than vertical heating.
The EBH201-120 accommodates bearings with a maximum outside diameter of 15-3/4" and a maximum width of 4-3/4". Two cross bars are supplied to accommodate different bearing bore sizes. BESSEY recommends using an appropriate method to monitor the surface temperature of the workpiece during operation.
